All,
We have posted some interesting tips and tricks from our travels so far. As we go along and find more things that do/don’t work, we will continue to update this. If you have international travels in your future it might be interesting. Even if you aren’t traveling anywhere for awhile, you might pick up an idea or two!

If you are curious of any aspect of our trip, post a comment and we will get back to you with an answer …in a few days 🙂
Ryan & Emily
Ryan and Emily,
This is an excellent idea to post this information plus it is very informative! You showed us a lot of the things that you mention. You certainly tried to anticipate your needs and it is paying off! It will be interesting to see if you encounter anything that you might have planned differently. Maybe you could include that information in a later post addendum to your “Tips & Tricks” post.
We will include our screws up too as we come across them. 🙂
Great tips. How about some pictures of your hotel rooms?
Your wish is my command – see the new Venice post 🙂
This is an interesting post, Ryan. Thanks for putting it up. I use a similar bag to the Rick Steves (mine is from ebags – http://www.ebags.com/product/ebags/mother-lode-tls-weekender-convertible/143101?productid=1370036) and I find I can get a ton in there (including electronics) and still have the strength to haul it around.
Mike,
That is an awesome bag as well! We actually looked at this bag as well, but went with the Rick bag as it was slightly lighter (so Emily could take more crap along – you should know this from traveling with her at work :)) Thanks for the tip – others will love that bag!
